FIRST SESSIONS
I spend the first couple of sessions trying to gain a thorough understanding of the concerns you bring. This generally involves gathering information which allows me to understand the current problem or issues within a wider biographical context. Towards the conclusion of these sessions, we can get an overview of the situation and discuss treatment options.
At this time we will also discuss whether we both feel we’re a good “fit” to work together, in terms of personality and approach.
On top of solid clinical skills, my approach has been influenced by training in psychoanalysis and modern mindfulness-based, meditative methods.
